「the Moon Festival 」

The Mid - Autumn Festival is indeed in autumn . It is also called August Festival .

The Mid - Autumn Festival is on the fifteenth of the eighth moon （ the 15th of the 8th lunar month ）.

 Common Sayings ： 「As the time approaches mid - autumn , the moon becomes especially bright .」

On this night we try to find a quiet place from where we can view the bright harvest moon .

This is another holiday for family reunion .The whole family eats moon cake and enjoys moonlight

together . Nothing could be more satisfying than that .On and around the Moon Festival we eat moon cakes ,

 Which are large , heavy and round pastries filled with dates , beans , peanuts , etc .There is a very

 interesting story about 「 The Moon Festival - Ch'ang - O , who flys to the moon . 」
